How encryption unlocks the truth [Advertiser content from WhatsApp]When I directed this collaboration for Vox Creative x WhatsApp, the challenge was to make the motif of encryption core to the visual aesthetic of the piece.After thorough research, we were able to achieve this through classic Hollywood optical techniques like forced perspective, as well as the inclusion of real spy technology and tactics from WWI through the Cold War.To ensure the message of the piece was also clearly visibly communicated in a digestible way, we worked with Vox’s designers on visuals that served as a bridge between ideas, while maintaining Vox’s elevated aesthetic.
